Symmes A covers the Camp Dennison area. Geographically separated from the rest of the township, Camp Dennison is a small, historically rich community along Glendale Milford Road with deep roots in both the American Revolution and the Civil War. It is one of the most historically significant neighborhoods in all of Hamilton County.

Points of Interest:

  • Christian Waldschmidt Homestead and Camp Dennison Civil War Museum
    An 1804 stone house and Civil War museum on Glendale Milford Road, operated by the Ohio Daughters of the American Revolution. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the homestead served as a headquarters for the Union Army during the Civil War.
  • Camp Dennison Nature Trail
    A 12 acre site at the corner of Munson and Campbell Streets featuring a half mile crushed limestone hiking trail.
  • Little Miami Scenic Trail
    A nearly 78 mile paved multi-use trail passing through Camp Dennison, managed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Open to hikers, cyclists, and more.
  • Camp Dennison Memorial Park
    Located on State Route 126, this park features baseball diamonds, lacrosse fields, a batting cage, a playground, and a one mile paved walking path along the Little Miami River. Managed by Indian Hill.
  • Grand Valley Nature Preserve
    A 379 acre nature preserve with walking trails and a large lake for canoeing and fishing. managed by Indian Hill with access restricted to Indian Hill residents and Indian Hill Water Works customers.
  • Kugler Mill Field
    Located on Kugler Mill Road, this park features approximately 7 acres of soccer fields and easy access to the Little Miami Scenic Trail.
